Time-Sert 11125 is a Universal Metric M11x1.25mm head bolt hole thread repair kit which is commonly used on Subaru cars, Nissan and Infiniti. Since it is universal, that means that different depths can be set when working on different models. Of course the hole being worked on has to be M11X1.25. The Time Sert 11125 is a regular size kit made for a first time repair, meaning no other thread repair has been used previously. If a Helicoil or some other competitive brand thread repair kit has been used already and has failed an over-size repair kit is needed. See the 11125BS for second time repairs. The BS in the kit number means "Big Sert" which is Time-Sert's designation for over-size. The outside is larger but the inside still accepts the original size M11x1.25 head bolts.
Note that this kit uses 11127 inserts which ten are included (M11x1.25x30mm). As mentioned above, they are for first time repairs (holes that have not been repaired previously). Since this is a universal kit, the instructions must be followed because of several applications are covered. Marking the depth on the drill tap and driver is very important. Laminated instructions are included.

Question: Can I buy just a tap and an insert?
Answer: I know purchasing the entire Time Sert kit is expensive, however, everything in the kit is required for the repair to work properly. It’s a very well engineered and produced kit which is made in the USA. That’s a rare thing these days. An example of what just one of the tools does is: the installation driver, it finishes cold rolling the bottom threads, expanding the bottom of the insert locking it into place. As a distributor for Time-Sert we are not permitted to sell just pieces of kits, unless our customer has a verified purchase of the corresponding kit and needs a replacement. This helps avoid broken tools and failed repairs due to improper use. Pulling the head on any vehicle is a lot of work. Doing a permanent type repair only makes sense. Time Sert is recommended by car manufacturers. In fact GM and Toyota only approve Time Sert for head bolt thread repair. Back to your question: Since, we would only be setting you up to fail, by selling one tool out of the kit we are un-able to sell components unless you are just replacing a piece out of a kit previously purchased from us. You see we would rather lose a sale rather than sell you something that is not going to work without the rest of the required tooling.
Question: I had a Helicoil fail and now a new Helicoil will not screw in. Will the 11125 work for my repair?
Answer: NO. For a previously repaired hole that is bigger now than usual, an oversize kit is needed. See the 11125BS. The BS stands for Big Sert which is Time Sert's way of saying that it's over size. The original size head bolts will be accepted even with the oversize repair because the inside is still M11x1.25, just a thicker insert.

2006 Nissan Xterra head bolt repair on 4.0 L motor. This kit is awesome and worked perfect. Be sure to bottom out sleeve. I watched a very informative video on you tube prior and during my attempt.
