Description

M14x1.25 spark plug repair tooling Extended for DEEP reach holes. Kit includes 5 inserts p/n 44111 for washer seat plugs also known as washer or gasket type plugs.  
Used in 3/4 reach gasket style spark plugs commonly used in:
Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Acura, BMW Mercedes-Benz, VW, Audi, Kia and others. *Does NOT include 6010 Driver Oil or 6020 Thread Locker.
 
Time Sert 4412E-111 Kit Includes the Following

The wrench which is the black tool on the left, is used to rotate all the tools, has a 1/2" inch hex at the top which can allow you to extend the tooling with a socket further if needed. The tap in the wrench is approx. 8" in over all length.

Question: Are these tools warrantied against breakage? I broke the seat cutter, why would it have broken?

Answer: Time Sert tools are designed and manufactured in the USA and are very good quality; however they do not come with a replacement warranty due to the nature of the tools. As with any type drill bits and taps, the industry standard is "no warranty" due to the tooling being considered consumable. Also, breaking can occur if the tools are dropped or used improperly. The break in the image above most likely was caused by the wrench not being placed down fully into the top of the seat cutter. See the gap? This is NOT fully engaged.

The top part of the recess in the seat cutter is thin, however when fully engaged the wrench is placed into the thickest strongest part of the slotted area. See below.

When the wrench is in place properly and engaged fully there will be no space showing. The wrench is fully in the slot. See the image below.

Question: I have a broken seat cutter, but it's broken on the other end. The cutting blade broke. What caused the problem?
 
Answer: A broken cutting blade on the seat cutter is most likely caused by the tap not being in the correct depth. For other's doing this job, pay special attention to step number two in the instructions, keeping the tap's cutting edges 1/4" below the surface and this will not be an issue. pdficon-small.png Printable Instructions for Time-Sert 4412E

Notice that, if the tap (which also acts as a guide for the seat cutter) is not down far enough, the cutting blades may catch the top threads of the tap and cause breakage.

    Toyota spark plug threads repaired!

    Used in an aluminum head for a Toyota Camry where the spark plug had been seized, damaging the threads. Excellent kit, made the job easy. Now the head does not have to come off and go to the machine shop!
