Description

Time Sert M10x1.00 thread repair kit typically used on the Sprinter 2.7 Diesel engine (Does NOT fit 3.0 v-6 which is 8mm). Also used on other applications using the M10x1.00 thread size and pitch. Fix threads over the fender without removing the cylinder head. See the video below for more information.

The tools have stops so you cannot hit the seat at the bottom of hole. This kit will repair Long reach glow plugs found in Ford heads Champion p/n CH237. Short reach glow plugs example Champion p/n CH271/ Bosch (80028) 0250202022. *Note does not fit the OM642 V-6 Mercedes diesel as it uses 8mm glow plugs and this kit is M10x1.0.     Well this kit is best kit for the sprinter glow plug repair hands down easy to use whether you're mechanically inclined or not overly and quality is the best, price is a bit high but it’s a lot cheaper then removing the cylinder head and well worth the cost in my opinion. Thanks again. Shipping to Canada was 2 days.

    Used kit to repair 2 cylinders on 2003 sprinter 2.7l 5cyl diesel. was quoted 8500$ to repair stripped glow plugs with cylinder head replacement. performed work on cyls. 1 &2 in vehicle with cabin air filter removed. I used my tap sockets and 12pt 1/4" sockets to drive the tools in kit. that being said I would prefer longer pilots on the tap and core drill as I got a little off center which creates trouble getting the glow plugs installed. REMOVING THE INTAKE MANIFOLD is highly recommended as the holes will easier to access.
